FINALLY Tasty Homemade Thai Food

After my 3 mile run today I came home and housed a delicious Graveyard Smoothie. The Graveyard Smoothie contains a unique mixture of fruits and veggies. It had frozen bananas and blueberries, a handful of spinach, almond milk and some fresh strawberries and blueberries. It tasted pretty good and stuffed my belly.

After a quick shower...I challenged myself to make homemade Thai food one more time. I think I have made one edible Thai recipe and it was a Thai Chicken Salad with Peanut Dressing. And I don't really count it as being homemade because I didn't make the chicken and really how can you mess up peanut dressing. :) So my mission was to make a Tasty Thai dish. On tonight's menu was Cilantro Chicken with Peanuts. I got this recipe from an old cookbook called "Easy Dinner and Healthy Recipes."

This recipe was fairly easy to make and prep but I decided I wanted brown rice so I had to wait 45 minutes. Why does brown rice take so long? :) While I was cooking the rice I prepped the chicken, made the sauce, measured the chiles and peanuts. Below is the recipe:

2 teaspoons roasted peanut oil (I used regular EVOO)
1 pound of chicken breasts - cut into 1 inch pieces
1 ounce honey-roasted peanuts
1-2 dried red chiles (use more if you like it super spicy)
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1 teaspoon toasted seasame oil (I used regular seasame oil)
1 1/2 cups of cilantro
Cabbage Slaw (I used broccoli slaw)
Brown Rice
Lime slices and cilantro for garnish

1) Heat peanut oil over high heat. Cook and stir chicken in skillet for 2 minutes and then add peanuts and chiles. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink.

2) Add soy sauce, rice vinegar and seasame oil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro leaves.

3) Spoon over cabbage or rice. (In my case both)

I have to tell you that this recipe was full of spice and flavor. I finally did it...a tasty homemade Thai dish. :) I loved the variety of flavors especially the sweetness of the peanuts and the kick of the red chiles. This dish was amazing and I felt so good about myself. I finally completed my mission of homemade Thai food. Take a peak at my masterpiece:

So delish!
I paired my dinner with a refreshing Arnold Palmer because I have been craving ice tea and lemonade in this heat wave Seattle is having. By heat wave I mean 70-75 degrees. :)

I had the perfect dinner! I think I am now going to take a break from trying to cook Thai food because I finally succeeded. Does anyone have any great homemade Thai food recipe to share??

Seattle Rock & Roll Half Marathon Mission Completed

I woke up ready to run the Rock & Roll Seattle Half marathon. I didn’t do a training program for this race so the only goals I had were to  run it with friends and without headphones.
Breakfast of Champions!

I had a bowl of oatmeal topped with fresh berries and almond milk and it really hit the spot. As we neared the race the traffic was ridiculous…but we got there eventually. I decided to run with my beau’s brother and his wife because I have never ran with anyone before. I always do it alone….now I know what I have been missing. It is so much better to run with friends! Elise showed me the real fun in running races and that is hooting, hollering and high fiving everyone. It was seriously so much fun and it made the 13.1 miles fly by.
Look at that cute face.

Race recap…I hate miles 0-2 because they are the hardest for me. But by mile 5 I was good because that mile was all downhill, and the best of the entire face. By the time we hit mile 10 we could see the finish line but we had to circle around and hit the streets of Seattle. Once we hit Seattle our pace skyrocketed because of the crowd’s energy, high fiving people was just what I needed at mile 11-12! At the finish line I smiled and couldn’t believe I had done my personal best…2:06:03. (all pictures are from http://www.asiorders.com/view_event.asp?EVENTID=75633.)
Running with friends is the way to go!

Running with friends and without headphones makes the race so much better. You can hear, feel and smile your way through the race because you aren’t alone. You are part of something special…not everyone loves running but everyone can appreciate all the effort that goes into these events.
I had the best time at this race and am eager to start training for my next one in October…the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in San Fran. I can only imagine how hard it is going to be…but I know I will not be wearing headphones and I will make some friends. J
They are so pretty...glittery.

BTW the medals at the finish line were heavy…and really sweet. I was pretty sure but loved the feeling of accomplishment that I had after running that race.
PS The bands were not that good…only one upbeat song the entire race…booo!

I Love Brunch

Today I woke up motivated to get my sweat on. My breakfast on the run included one my favorite blueberry muffins and a jug of water. :) I decided to head to the gym and do the workout I love to hate the 45 Minute Treadmill Scorcher. I decided to try this workout without headphones and the verdict was it wasn't that bad. I thought I would be miserable because this workout is so tough but surprisingly I enjoyed the challenge. I think I am almost on the no headphones bandwagon. :)

After my tough workout I had to get ready in a hurry because I had a brunch date with some friends at Le Grand Bistro in Kirkland. I had never been here but I was excited because brunch is my favorite weekend thing to do. I decided to order a Croque Madame sandwich (egg over medium) paired with a delicious spicy bloody mary. :)

Look at that spread...the french fries were the perfect side, the salad had a lovely vinegarette on it and the Croque Madame was simply delightful. The gruyere cheese was so creamy, the ham was moist and the egg was cooked to my liking (not to runny)! It was a heavy meal but so tasty...this restaurant is great. I give this restaurant two thumbs up...the service, food, view and atmosphere was really superb.

I'm not sure why I enjoy brunch so much but I do. I think its because I never make great breakfasts they are usually a little boring...so whenever I get to do brunch I go crazy because there are so many unique options. I love brunch and I don't think anything can come between us. :)

Grilled Salmon with Mango Coconut Salsa

I am excited to say...Friday Happy Hour has returned. Today I decided to meet up with a fun couple for a quick drink and snack. Happy Hour destination was John Howie Steakhouse...check out my previous post to see my first review Ritzy Steakhouse for Happy Hour...Yes Please. I had been thinking about this happy hour all day and wasn't sure what snack I was going to order because they are all so GOOD. I decided on deviled eggs...topped with bacon truffle! Seriously the best deviled eggs I have ever had. I paired my snack with John Howie Amber Ale and it tasted pretty darn good.

Bacon truffle = amazing

This was a quick happy hour because I promised the beau that we would have a Friday Date Night. On tonight's menu was Grilled Salmon with Mango Coconut Salsa courtsey of Cooking Light of course. I prepared the salsa earlier in the day because you are to broil the poblano better, take the skin and seeds out and then dice. I am such a slow chopper that I decided to just make the entire salsa less the mango. It saved me a ton of time to prep it before dinner.

The salmon was prepared the grill and was paired with grilled zucchini! Check out how color is on the -plate...the salsa was really tasty. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was sweet with a touch of spice. I wish the coconut was a more dominant flavor but it was over-powered by the mango and poblano. I would still recommend this meal for a nice summer dinner on the patio.

Off for a short walk because the weather is so wonderful...summer in Seattle in the best!

Running Without Headphones...Amazing!

On today's menu was an egg scramble with bacon and a delicious homemade blueberry muffin. This breakfast hit the spot and left me completely satisfied and ready for my morning run.

1 egg with spinach, onions, bell pepper and tomatoes = best egg scramble ever!

Today I was determined to get me 5 mile run in early. My headphone's recently broke so I decided to try running without them. I have always wondered how people run without the noise and entertainment of headphones. Today I tried it out and....it was not to bad. It was actually really soothing and relaxing not to have them in. My fear was that I would get bored! The reality was that I was more aware during my run...and it felt natural. I was able to hear my breathing and feet hit the groung mile after mile which was very comforting. I know everyone is probably saying "she is full of bleep." But I promise I am not lying it was really nice to run without distractions. I think everyone should try it once...its not for everyone.

When I got back from my rejuvanating run I decided to make a protein smoothie. I whipped up the perfect strawberry/banana smoothie that was the perfect post workout smoothie. I even topped it with a handful of Peanut Butter Granola. It was perfection in a bowl. :) After eating this I contemplated going for another run just so I could fix another one of these perfect post workout protein smoothies!

My challenge to everyone is to try and run without headphones and see how you feel. I would love to hear any feedback about if you like or dislike it.

Lots of GOOD Home Cooking

Today I woke up to chirping birds and I sort of loved it...I wasn't mad at all. I got out of bed headed to an early breakfast meeting at Whole Foods. Who knew that Whole Foods had an incredible breakfast spread. They have everything eggs galore, fresh fruits, crepes, quiche etc. I settled for a breakfast burrito and some fresh fruit. I did do some research when I got home and found out my breakfast burrito had over 500 calories...yikes. I am so glad I didn't eat the wrap I may have saved myself a few hundred calories. The breakfast was delicious and the meeting was even better. :) FYI be careful this can get very spendy after all it is Whole Foods!!

After a great meeting I headed home to go for a 4 mile run and it was awesome. The weather was perfect and it felt good to get moving and get rid of most of those calories I just put into my body. :)

The remainder of the day was spent organizing my kitchen. I was so happy my mom was able to come over and help me organize because she has this ability to calm and focus me. It is super strange but true...I just love my mama. She also surprised me with a veggie patty sandwich from Subway which made me smile because she knows me to well.

After we organized the kitchen my mom had to leave and I was faced with what to make for dinner. I had seen a recipe in my Cooking Light Cookbook that sounded super interesting: Lemon Garbanzo Salad with Feta. I had trouble finding bulgur at the store so I simply substituted quinoa for bulgur. This salad turned out so tasty and light. The lemon dressing with the dill and quinoa was so flavorful and all the veggies added lots of amazing textures! I totally recommend this salad for the summer and even a great dish for a BBQ or potluck. I paired this salad with leftover halibut and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/3 cup uncooked bulgur
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, divided
  • 1/3 cup canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peeled cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons diced red onion
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1/4 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 teaspoons extravirgin olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1) Combine 1/2 cup boiling water, bulgur, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice in a medium bowl. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes. Add chickpeas, cucumber, celery, diced red onion, 1 1/2 tablespoons feta cheese, and dill; toss gently to combine.

2)Combine 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper, stirring with a whisk. Drizzle over bulgur mixture, and toss gently to coat. Cover and chill.

Tonight I got caught up reading tons of blogs and I came across a post from one of my favorite blogs Peanut Butter Fingers. She posted a shockingly easy Peanut Butter Granola recipe that I couldn't resist trying. It seemed to easy to be true...so I tried it. Julie doesn't lie...that woman knows her peanut butter.

The granola turned out the perfect golden color and made the house smell delicious. I was so excited about it I had it for dessert. Dessert included a small scoop of frozen vanilla yogurt, small handul of peanut butter granola and a handful of fresh blueberries. It was soooo good...I had to restrain myself from going back for more. I can't even wait for breakfast tomorrow because that granola is going to make my tummy so happy!

Isn't my dessert BEAUTIFUL???

Best dessert since Barcelona!

I have to be honest that I am really loving trying new recipes and cooking at home. I have been doing a lot of it lately and it feels so good to be making wonderfully healthy meals!! Nighty Nighty...

Holy Blueberry Muffin Heaven

Wow...I have been the laziest blogger ever. Who knew being unemployed could be so busy, I have been running around with my head cut-off for the past two weeks. Today I was finally able to relax and actually do a couple of things that make me smile and happy.

I have still been waking up super early...5am. This is actually a good thing because I am able to check my email, apply for some positions, make a healthy breakfast and get my exercise done early.  Today's breakfast of choice was leftover oatmeal topped with delicious fresh fruit. I love that summer is right around the corner because fruit is my favorite breakfast/snack/dessert!

After breakfast was a killer BOSU Ball Full Body Workout. Everytime I do this workout it leaves my arms and legs feeling like jelly and my core burning. I guess this isn't the best way to promote a workout but in all honesty it's a wonderful full body workout that gets results. :)

I did pound a boring protein shake when I got home..no need for a picture or description. After getting myself ready I got bit by the baking bug. I bought a crate of fresh blueberries and really want to make something delicious. So I decided to look through my Cooking Light Cookbook and I found the perfect recipe BLUEBERRY POWER MUFFINS WITH ALMOND STREUSEL. Reading this recipe made my heart happy...123 calories for one muffin. :) Check out the recipe below:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups vanilla low-fat yogurt

  • 1/2 cup 2% reduced-fat milk

  • 3 tablespoons canola oil

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries

  • Cooking spray

  • Streusel:
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

  • 1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees
    2) Mix dry ingredients together
    3) Mix wet ingredients together
    4) Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients
    5) Fold in blueberries
    6) Top with streusel and bake muffins for 15 minutes

This recipe is super easy and believe me these muffins are MUF-I-LICOUS! Best muffins I have ever baked.

    Pretty much the perfect MUFFIN!

So satisfying..a blueberry muffin without feeling guilty!

I was still on my baking high when it was time to hit up the Melting Pot for happy hour with Mary. Check out my previous review of The Melting Pot Happy Hour. I love the fact that I can get fondue and a drink for $10! I mean that is pretty fantastic...and if you go with friends you can get out of there by paying less than $10 (without tip)...if you order beer! $3.00 pints are a MUST.

Today I smiled a lot because I was not only productive but I also made time to do things that make me happy such as baking, working out, socializing with besties and happy hour. Life is good even without a job!! :)

    Being Productive is soooo Satifying

I am still waking up at 5am on the dot...I really don't get it. So I got up and had a nice breakfast and scheduled my day. Being unemployed has allowed me to organize my apartment and declutter so today was dedicated to running errands.

Breakfast was oatmeal topped with a smashed banana and five chocolate chips. Mix it all together and you have an amazing breakfast with just enough sweetness.

After my breakfast I headed out for a 5 mile run. It felt so good to run outside and enjoy the morning sunshine. I felt like challenging myself so I ran hills today and it hurt so good. :) I recommend running hills to gauge how fit you are...turns out I'm not as fit as I want to be.

Today I headed to Half Price Books to drop off about 25 books and 10 dvds that I don't need and just take up space. I haven't had the best look making money...but today I got $38 back. I wanted to start dancing around like a foolish child but I held it in and pocketed the money. :)

Next stop was to cash a check at the bank because I housesitted this weekend. I think I was able to do this stop in less than 5 minutes. The bank is super easy these days...almost kinda scary.

I then had a return to make at Marshall's. I had to return a pair of sandels that I ended up not loving. There is another $20 back! This whole day is beginning to make me feel super productive.

Next I met Eleana and Adrian from my old job for a quick cup of coffee. It was so nice to chat with them and catch up. A ton of my friends are new mommies or expectant mommies. I love seeing how amazing my friends are as mommies!

Last stop on my list today was the grocery store...and I left my list at home. I hate when this happens because I usually end up forgetting the most important items. I ended up getting out of the grocery store with only healthy items for under $60. I felt pretty good about the trip. I didn't get home until 5pm so I had to decide what to make for dinner.

The weather was so amazing today I decided on whipping up a meatless burger paired with cottage cheese and watermelon. This dinner hit the spot and was pretty darn healthy. :)

What a productive day! I only hope the rest of the week turns out to be as productive. On tomorow's checklist...find a fulfilling job. :)

    I LOVE Pole Dancing!

On the agenda today was Introduction to Pole Dancing. My friend Sarah and I bought a Living Social Deal and scheduled to redeem it today. As we were driving we were both dreading it...I think I was dreading it because it was something new and also 70 degrees out.

As we approached the class room our instructor came out to greet us. He...yes he was very friendly and had beautiful toe nail polish on. He made me laugh non-stop! His first question was "Have any of you ever pole danced before?" Of course I said nothing but he looked towards Sarah & I and said "Dancing on a pole in Vegas counts!"

I mean I started cracking up because I really couldn't do that...ever. So class began with stretching and learning the basics of pole dancing. When I first gripped the pole and tried to spin around it and felt completely out of control and a little scared. I have to admit the pole and class really intimidated me. Something happened halfway through the class...I no longer had any fear of the pole! I was bummed I wasted so much time.

I was totally excited when my fear subsided and I was able to nail the move below. It felt so good to because I was able to move in ways I thought I never would...I wasn't sexy by any means. Think Tina Fey on a pole and that is what I looked like.

This might sound weird but pole dancing gave me a rush of adrenaline that was undeniable...as the class wore on I found myself totally caught up in the movement. And then I thought...if I were a stripper what would my name be??? I came up with Bambi...sweet, innocent and totally awkward! :)

As class came to an end I was a little sad because it was lots of fun! I just wanted to practice more and become as elegant as our instructor. :) Today I learned that pole dancing is freaking hard, a great workout, a great way to feel sexy & totally addicting! Everyone should try pole dancing at least once. I am no pole dancer but it really does allow you to be you! :)

After our pole dancing excursion Sarah and I did a tiny bit of shopping and got some bubble tea! Pitaya is da bomb...I got a cute pair of shorts and sunglasses for under $20 and Yunnie Bubble Tea is the most delicious bubble tea ever. COCONUT never disappoints me.

When I got home I decided to make a Quick Shrimp Chowder from CookingLight.com. This chowder is so easy to prepare and has the simplest ingredients. Oh and the best part is that it is DELICIOUS, it is so tasty, thick and light! This recipe definitely gets TWO THUMBS UP!

Be Warned...Comfy Shoes are IMPORTANTE in Europe - Day 3

On day 3 of Spain I woke up having a bit of gym withdrawl...I know ridiculous. I woke up craving a workout even though I would be walking all day long. I headed down to the hotel gym and did 20 minutes of cardio (10 minutes on ellipical & 10 minutes on the treadmill). It between my two cardio intervals I did two sets of push-ups (15) and sit-ups (100).

It was nice to work up a sweat and appetite for the hotel buffet that was awaiting me. On the schedule today was to finish up the hop on hop off tour bus, bus train tickets to Sevilla and hit the famous La Ramblas market. Below you will see the ground we covered on the red line!

    1) Today it was time to purchase our train tickets to Sevilla and I was sure glad I was travelling with someone who could speak a bit of spanish because if I were in charge of getting tickets we would of ended up in France or something. The convenience of our hotel's location was amazing today...simply buy our train tickets and hop on the tour bus without walking. :)

    2) We hopped on the bus but soon realized that we were on the wrong color so we got off and started walking to Plaça de Francesc Macià. While walking I realized I had made a horrible footwear decision...within 20 minutes of walking I had a blister on each of my feet. We stopped at the farmacia for band-aides but honestly the damage had been done. Thank goodness we were riding the bus today. :) FYI Don't wear cute shoes...wear COMFY shoes! Once we arrived at Plaça de Francesc Macià I was again amazed at the beauty of the plaza. I just can't get used to it!!!

    3) We hopped on the bus and were ready to enjoy the gorgeous Barcelona weather. Our first stop was Placa de Catalunya. This is usual a beautiful spot but it was full of protesters, posters and fired up people so we didn't really get to enjoy it. Next we were finally going to see some of Gaudi's other work. Below you will see Casa Batlló and Casa Milà aka La Pedrera. Casa Batlló is so unique, I never thought I would think skull balconies were so beautiful. La Pedrera is just GORGEOUS!

    4) Our next stop was the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. We saw it yesterday and were so glad we didn't have to stand in the 1/2 mile line around the church. :) After the cathedral we continued to enjoy the red line tour...but forgot to get off at Park Guell. :(

    4) Next stop Parc de la Tamarita or Jardins de la Tamarita. This stop was beautiful and sooooooo peaceful. We thought this was Gaudi's Park Guelll....oops. :)

    5) We continued on the red line until we reached FC Barcelona's Stadium. I couldn't wait to see this because of my childhood love affair with soccer. I had heard that this stadium was simply amazing and the largest in the Europe. For me it was totally insane thinking that a stadium of this size would be sold out every game for futbol! The tour of the stadium was great you got to see almost every square inch of it. :)

    Really...prayers before the game??? :)\

    6) After loving the stadium tour we jumped back on the bus to get to Plaça de Catalunya. I wanted to see the famous La Ramblas market during the day. I had heard that it is quite a sight and experience. Sorry for the picture overload below but I was in heaven and shock all at once. I was so glad that I got to see this market!

    So much meat....

    So many cheeses....

Have you ever seen sour candy like this?

    So many fresh spices....

    So many nuts and fruits...

After drooling at the freshness of the La Ramblas market I decided that I had to try one of the waffles had been seeing all over Barcelona. This waffle was to die for...toffee topping with bananas was the perfect end to sightseeing. :)

Hop on Hop Off Bus is da BOMB! - Day 2

Today started off with a plan! The plan was to see as much Barcelona as possible and the cheapest and most efficient way to do this was to buy a two day pass on their "Hop On Hop Off" tourist bus. This is the most fantastic way to see the city because they drop you off at sites and pick you up whenever you are ready! Oh and it is on a double decker bus so you can get a tan/burn! The longest wait was seven minutes...I love this concept.

Below you will see all the ground covered on Day 2. The black lines are all the walking we did and the red is the hop on hop off tour bus lines. :) We pretty much covered the city in less than 5 hours and had plenty of time for a nice siesta before dinner on La Rambla street!

    1) Started the day by walking to the Plaza Espanya and walking through the "Magic Fountains" and up to the National Museum of Art of Catalunya. The building had a great view of the city and was massive! You will hear this alot from me but I couldn't believe that a building that was this beautiful was simply just a museum.

    2) After having a stiff cup of coffee (that is the only kind here in Spain) and a pastry we decided to just explore and stumbled upon a beautiful garden and eventually come across a cable car that takes you to the Montijuic Castle at the top of the mountain. The cable car takes you high above the city and gives you incredible views. :)

    3) Castle de Montijuic is the first castle I have ever been to and it didn't disappoint. It was a thing of beauty and gave me a chance to how big the city of Barcelona really is. The castle was constructed in the 1700s and was used as a prison and fort for most of the 1800s. I loved exploring the castle and taking pictures of pretty much everything. But my favorite part by far was just looking at the incredible views!

    4) After we took the cable car back down to the road we decided to purchase a 2-day pass for the Hop on & Hop off tour bus. We hopped on to the bus and sat up top to enjoy the sun and beautiful weather. The bus took us down to the piers and beaches. It was really nice to sit down and soak up the vitamin D.

    5) We hopped off the bus in the Gothic Quarter which is called the "Heart of Barcelona." We wanted to see the gothic cathedral Le Seu aka Barcelona Cathedral. The construction of this cathedral began in th 13th century but wasn't complete until to 20th century. The area around the Cathedral has a charm and beauty that makes this location a must visit when you come to Barcelona. FYI in order to enter you have to cover your shoulders. :)

    6) After enjoying the peaceful Gothic Quarter we decided to walk to the most visited site in Barcelona which is Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. I have heard that this piece of architecture is one of the most original and ambitious modern buildings ever built. When we arrived I couldn't believe my eyes, this was so ginormous, odd, beautiful and the most original thing I have ever seen. The construction started in 1882 and won't be complete for another 25-50 years. The inside was just AMAZING...the pictures below just don't do it justice. It's something you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

    7) After walking through one of Gaudi's many masterpieces I was starving. We headed down to Port Olympico to find a restaurant on the beach and finally try Spain's famous PAELLA. We found the perfect restaurant Hijo de Lorenzo. We both ordered salads and then a serving of seafood paella. The servings were enormous...my salad had an entire brick of goat chesse on it. But it was super tasty! As they brought out the paella I was realized that I would not be having dinner because this was it. The paella was pretty good but to me it was missing lots of flavors. Lunch was of course served with SANGRIA because it is so perfect in the perfect Spain weather.

    8) After eating my face off it was time to have a siesta. I just love that naps are a part of everyone's day in Spain. :)

    9) It was time for our snack on La Ramblas, we both really wanted to sit on this busy street and just soak up Barcelona. We started off our late dinner snack with two jugs of SANGRIA...amazing. We both were feeling snacky so the perfect plate would be TAPAS. We had a greek salad, meatballs, potatoes bravas and octopus. Again the potatoes bravas and octopus were the BEST. Sitting outside on La Ramblas is so far the one of the best parts of my trip to Barcelona. :)

After enjoying our jugs of Sangria we decided to end our night right with GELATO! I had kiwi and coconut from Dino's Gelato and it was soooooooooo good. :) Perfect ending to an amazing day in Barcelona.

Gelato is so perfect in Barcelona!
