Kiss My Glutes

This morning came a little but faster than I had hope for I was up at 5am and at the gym before 5:30am. These mornings are so hard but after the workout is done I am so glad I got it out of the way. I like to call this mornings workout Kiss My Glutes meaning lots of incline variations so my booty will look good in my bathing suit next week.

1-20 minutes - Random hills on bike (level 7)
20-25 minutes - Walk on treadmill at 4.0 incline (speed 4)
25-35 minutes - Run on treadmill at 2.0 incline (speed 5.8)
35-40 minutes - Run on treadmill at 1.0 (speed 5.8)
40-45 minutes - Cool down (4.0)

I had to eat at the office this morning because of the early session at the gym. I had oatmeal topped with peanut butter and bananas paired with half of a banana and half a sandwich thin. The warm peanut butter and bananas made my oatmeal taste delicious. It seriously was the best oatmeal I have had in 2011. :)

Warm bananas and peanut butter can make anything tasty!

Next up was lunch! Leftover Vegetable Curry was on my menu, this time it was a lot hotter....I mean a lot. But I still couldn't get enough and the fresh bell peppers and grapes were the perfect pairing to the spicy curry.

I quickly ate lunch because I had a coffee date with Sarah. It was beautiful in Seattle today almost 60 degrees. We decided to grab a Chai Tea at the Urban Coffee Lounge because it is my favorite and very convenient. :) We were able to enjoy our lattes outside and soak up the sun. I was wearing sunglasses and a tanktop...that is completely unheard of for those that know me. I am the girl that is always cold. :) Today's coffee date with Sarah was the perfect lunch break and I felt energized to go finish my work day because happy hour was next on my agenda.

Best Chai Tea Latte in Town!

This week's happy hour was at Bellevue's Melting Pot. I have been here once before but it was years ago. Mary said she wanted to try it again so we made it happen and Sarah was also able to join us. Yay!! Three is never a crowd with us ladies.

Melting Pot's happy hour is from 4:30pm-6:30pm in the bar area. The drink specials are as follows $6 select wine, $4.50 well drinks, $2.50-$3.00 beer and $7 cocktail specials. The food specials are simple 50% off cheese and chocolate fondues. All salads are also 50% off. This is the only way to do the Melting Pot on a budget. Mary forgot her ID so Sarah and I decided to drink for her. :) The Wisconsin Cheese and dark chocolate fondues were pretty darn tasty! The three of us split the two fondues and it was just enough for us all.

 Yummy cheese fondue!

Best dessert tray variety ever! Rice Krispy Treats BABY!

I can't choose a favorite of the two fondues because they both hit very different spots! Again I feel like this is the best way to experience the Melting Pot. This happy hour is pretty low-key and not to crowded. It is a great deal...after drinking two Konas and splitting the appetizers three ways my total bill was $12.62 ($15.62 with tip). The three of us had a great time and laughed a ton. This was the perfect ending to my sunny day!! I truly believe that nothing beats Seattle on a clear sunny day. :)

We like to call ourselves the TRIPLE THREAT! :)

Another great day full of amazing friends! I love you girls. Can't wait to have our wine evening soon.

  1. Yup, I still look like a giant in this picture.

On another note, I can't wait to drink wine with you two either...when is this happening my little Suburban Socialite?

Lastly, the Triple Threat - LOVE IT!
