- Cool Down for 5 minutes at 4.0
- Mary & I met at a park and ride and carpooled to the restaurant (saving money on gas)
- Headed to happy hour at Fireside Cellars which is located right across the street from Barking Frog at Willows Lodge (saving money on wine)
- Eating at Barking Frog during Dine Around Seattle (saving tons of money at a $$$$ restaurant)
This workout took about 35 minutes not including my cool down. The best part of this workout is that it really gets your heart rate up and makes 35 minutes go by fast.
For breakfast I had some of my pre-made oatmeal w/ a teaspoon of peanut butter, a 1/2 of a banana and lots of water! It really hit the spot.
Lunch couldn't come fast enough today because I was so hungry. Today I packed a meatless burger paired with a salad, 1/3 avocado, carrots sticks and a hard-boiled egg. (I know this is weird but I use regular mustard as my dipping sauce for the meatless burger and salad). I was to full to eat the egg but I probably will have this for my afternoon snack. This lunch was a much needed change from what I have been packing.
Finally it was 4pm and it was time for my hot date with Mary. We are headed to happy hour and then the Barking Frog for our 3 course dinner for only $30. I just love DINE AROUND SEATTLE.
So here is how you can do the Barking Frog in Woodinville restaurant on a budget:
After we were done with our drinks we headed to Barking Frog for our early bird reservations at 5:30pm. :) Our friend Susie was already there waiting for us with her own bottle of wine. Love that about her. We talked for awhile and finally after about 45 minutes we decided to look at their Dine Around Seattle menu. Everything sounded great so it was a difficult decision but I decided on the scallop beignet (course 1), albequina olive oil marinated albacore (course 2) and coconut sorbet (course 3).

This was amazing with just enough spice.
The scallop beignet was awesome. The scallop was cooked to perfection.
Albacore was cooked perfectly.
The white beans, olives and pine nuts complimented the albacore nicely. I almost licked my plate clean. :) The portion was also great because I had just enough room for my dessert.
Coconut is my favorite flavor!!
For dessert I had coconut sorbet w/ a perfect shortbread cookie and a few berries. :) I love simple desserts and that's exactly what this was. The flavor of coconut was amazing, the shortbread was just the right texture and again I ate every bite of this! I can't pick a favorite course because everything was equally delish.
What a great Wednesday night!! Love these two.
I am so glad we did this it was the perfect way to get over hump day. I totally recommend treating yourself to Dine Around Seattle this month. I am planning on doing this at least one more time. This satisfied my inner foodie, my wallet and was a great experience. And remember you can do it under $50. :)
