After I thawed out and got into some dry warm clothes I decided a protein shake sounded so good. I used 8-10 ounces of almond milk (I love this stuff), 1 teaspoon of peanut butter, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (Inner Armour Super Quad) and I half of a banana and blended it. It was so delish. I realized that I need to experiment more with protein shakes.
Great protein shake after a tough run!
Now it was time to skype with my brother and his family. He lives in Boston so I try to skype with him, his wife and my only niece Lily every weekend at least once! Lily is almost 2 and pretty much the cutest little girl in the world (I maybe biased but I don't think so). Lily's new thing is saying "I love you Auntie!" If that doesn't make your day a 10 I don't know what will.
After being told Lily loves me I was ready to get my day started! I headed to meet up with my friend. He needed to run some errands at the mall and I was game. I mean what girl doesn't like to look at the mall. I was able to control my spring urges to buy shorts and summer dresses. :) After that we decided that seeing a movie was our best option for a rainy Saturday evening (we are movie freaks). We saw the Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon and it was okay but not great. The movie was a little different than I thought...it was pretty anticlimatic. I would wait until it comes out on DVD to see it.
We headed back after the movie and decided to cheat on being healthy so we ordered Pagliacci's Pizza to be delivered to us. As we waited for the pizza and salad we played a very intense game of Rummikub.
The wine helped me handle my two loses better!
I forgot how much fun playing games was. Rummikub is one of my favorites I am just not that good at it and he NEVER PLAYS TO LOSE. Not even to make me feel better. :)
Finally dinner arrived....yummy. We ordered a small Grand Salami Primo pizza with goat cheese and a large Pagliaccio's Salad.
This definitely hit the spot!
Later that night I decided to continue reading Born to Run. I really love this book! I am hoping to finish it this week.
