No Case of the Mondays Today!

Today started off with a quick session on the treadmill at the gym. The workout consisted of 5 minutes of walking, 1 mile at level 5.8 (10:20 pace), 2 miles at level 6, half mile at level 6.5 and 5 minutes of walking. This was a nice and easy run and energized me for the beginning of the week.

For breakfast I had a small serving of oatmeal topped w/ a 1/2 of teaspoon of sunflower butter and a drizzle of honey. My oatmeal was paired with a sandwich thin topped with 1/2 teaspoon of sunflower butter,1/2 a banana and 7 chocolate chips. This is my go to breakfast, I usually prepare the oatmeal ahead of time so I just have to microwave it. I'm not a huge fan of instant oatmeal so I have found that this is a great alternative for me.

The workday went by pretty fast and as my day was ending, I got a SURPRISE call from my friend Eleana. I love when things like this happen, she wanted to meet for coffee. I said "of course," so we met at the Urban Coffee Lounge in Kirkland.

It was only my second time at Urban Coffee Lounge and I remembered how cute this place was. I decided to get a Nonfat Chai Tea latte because their happy hour hadn't started yet. Yes, you heard me right this place serves a happy hour: $2.50 Beer and $3 wine!!

They fill it to the VERY top! Yummo.

I didn't regret my Chai Tea latte because it was so tasty, the best latte I have had in months. This place has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so I recommend going here instead of Starbucks. Next time I am having their happy hour wine and a coconut macaroon (they looked so delish). I had so much fun catching up with Eleana, we decided we should get going after an hour and a half of talking non-stop because we both had other errands to run.

I had to run to Costco to pick up a prescription and some photos, apparently 6pm on a Monday is the best time to go! I even got a front row parking spot. :)

I headed home shortly after and decided just to have leftovers, so I reheated my chicken pot pie and had a side of edamame with it because it just wasn't green enough. The chicken pot pie was just as good as it was on Saturday. :)

I just love leftovers and so does my wallet!

I wasn't quite satisfied so I decided to have an half of an apple with some peanut butter for dessert. I have been on a dessert kick lately. :)

I was totally stuffed after the apple and now I was ready to curl up on my couch and watch The Bachelor Women Tell All! I can't believe I watch this show but someone (they know who they are) got me addicted to it again this season.

I had a great Monday and I am excited to how this week will unfold.
