45 Minute Treadmill Killer!

Today I woke up feeling like a zombie. I am definitely a girl that needs eight hours of sleep and last night I didn't get that.

I decided to have a shake for breakfast. I threw some spinach, frozen bananas & strawberries and almond milk in the blender and out came a delicious sweet shake. :) I didn't have to add ice because the smoothie was so thick. I also had a sandwich thin topped with some frozen banana, peanut butter and nutella. I recommend topping oatmeal and sandwich thins with frozen bananas. Check out how the banana just turns to mushy deliciousness.

Amazing mush!

For lunch I brought the quinoa salad I made last night. It turned out pretty tasty considering how simple the seasoning was. I paired my quiona with a leftover chicken tender and some sliced cucumbers.

The feta and avocado really complimented the quinoa well.

Super tasty and filling!

After finishing the workday as a human zombie I headed to the gym to try and get out of my funk. I found an awesome 45 minute treadmill workout on Carrots N Cake's blog. Check it out:

I really enjoyed this workout. It was really tough but super rewarding in the end. I do have to tell you minutes 27-29 and 35-38 I contemplated stopping because I was exhausted. This workout is a great way to run on the treadmill because it goes by so fast. BONUS: I burned 500 calories!!!

After my workout I headed to sushi at The Tuna House. I ordered some miso soup and my regular roll The Super Nitro Roll. This roll really hit the spot!

I headed home and started to organize my clothes and outfits for Palm Springs on Thursday. :) I'm a planner. Now its time to relax and read with my Matcha Tea Latte Made Easy.

Typical Friday Night!

I was so glad when 4pm finally came because that means that it's happy hour time. I decided to meet my girlfriend Eleana at Brix Wine Cafe in Kirkland. This is a very cute little wine bar and they actually have a really great happy hour. Here's my rundown it last from 4pm-6pm and the bar is really small. It only holds about 10 people so you better try and get their before 5:30pm. The crowd is very Kirkland so you won't get hit on. :) Drink specials are $5 sangria, $5 select wine and $3.75 well drinks. We decided to order the trufle french fries because I had heard from numerous people they were to die for...and in fact they are to do die for and so is their price (a whopping $4.50). I defintiely would recommend this happy to any wine lovers.

Yes I was drinking alone...my friends are all preggers!

After happy hour I headed to meet up with my friend for a dinner and relaxing night. I don't know if anyone feels like this on Friday's but I just want to relax because I am so exhausted. We decided not to head into Seattle for dinner but to go with our favorite local sushi place called Tuna House. I think we go here almost once a week because it is definitely the best sushi on the eastside. Manabu is the best and his entire staff are very friendly. The fish is fresh and the rolls are very large!! I usually get the delish super nitro roll (tuna and tempera roll topped with fresh tuna sashimi) and eat the entire thing but you definitely could share it.

As you can see I ate most of it before I snapped the picture! :)
I love tuna at the Tuna House.

I also highly recommend the tornado roll, dragon roll, tiger eye and their sashimi. Everything you get here is of very high quality. Sushi on the eastside doesn't get better than this place. For a date night you could easily spend under $40 and for a single dinner you could spend less than $20. Again this is a must try and stay tuned because next time I will take more mouth watering pictures.

The night ended watching some DVR'd television. This Friday night was everything I hoped for happy hour, sushi and relaxing.
